ABOUT DOODLEWALA

Sushil Bhasin, also known as Doodlewala, is an artist. He’s not a smoker. But he doodles like a chain smoker. Sushil believes that simple lines can tell big, deep stories.

Over the last three decades he has been working towards stretching the boundaries of doodles as art. He uses the playful form of doodles to bring out deep human emotions, expressions and interconnections. He has used limited edition art prints on archival paper with archival ink to build a deep, evocative abstract world.

Sushil’s artworks have been displayed at the DLF Emporio, The Stainless Gallery, AIFACS and many other spaces. His art has been featured across national TV channels and publications, including The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, CNBC, NDTV and The Economic Times.

His works have been part of ad campaigns for reputed brands such as Coca Cola, Essar cellphones, etc. He has conducted many doodling, creativity and ideation workshops for various Indian and global organizations. His recent sessions were for The Little Black Book, and the Delhi Poetry Festival.

His art lives on walls in homes and galleries across the globe, from Mumbai to Manhattan.

‘‘

My art began as private meditations. These are fragments of memory, unspoken emotions, and human interconnections.
